Every so often we come across candle holders so beautiful that even though they mask seeing your beeswax candles in all their glory (!!), they bring something else to the table… in the case of these stunning holders, it’s the light patterns that they cast.

The last time we included them in a newsletter, they sold out in 2 days.  We’ve managed to source some new stock, so here they are again… and this time we’ve gone a little crazy with photography because the photographer just kept capturing new and different angles and I couldn’t decide on a winner.

There are two styles of lanterns – round and teardrop.

All holders were photographed with a Queen B tealight in a clear cup (ensuring light from all sides)… there is no need to buy bigger pillar candles for the larger holders.

One of the fabulous things about being an Australian manufacturer is the quality control (and for a perfectionist, that’s a fabulous thing)!  With all that heart and soul invested, I’m generally enamoured with everything that we brand Queen B.  Occasionally, however, we have a hand in creating something that is really special.

Our new Reversible Brass Egg Candleholder is in this category.  It really is just extraordinarily beautiful.  Made from solid brass, it is weighty and substantial.  It is designed to be used with our Bee Lights or Thins in to top or you can turn it upside down and use 12cm Beeswax Tapers in the bottom.

A sculpture on it’s own.  A paperweight when required.  A little bit of bling when shone.  A holder of bee created light.  The only luxury it doesn’t deliver is a martini!

My go to source of light most evenings are our beeswax dinner candles and Bee Lights.  A great, economical source of light and with the flame front and centre, a great source of calmness and tranquility.  So, I’m always excited to find new, stylish candleholders for taper candles… and we’ve got lots of new ones to show you.

Firstly, our “Clippy” candleholders.  A few months ago when we tidied our stationery shelves Sarah found out about my bulldog clip fetish (I think there were over 500 clips in different shapes and sizes).  Imagine my excitement then to find Clippy.  Stylish yet practical, it takes up little room on a busy dining room table.  Industrial looking, great design and designer aesthetic – all rolled into 1 smart candleholder.

You can find Clippy on it’s own in Candleholders on our website here ($12.50 each), or, we’ve put together a Clippy + Tapers pack for $34.16 which is a 10% saving.

Flower Candleholders

If you prefer a splash of colour, these metal, flower candleholders are just gorgeous.  We’ve been discussing whether they are iceberg roses, ranunculus or magnolia so we thought perhaps just “flowers” would be safer!

They come in 3 heights and colours:

small (yellow) – 10cm tall – $13.75
medium (turquoise) – 15cm tall – $16.50
tall (red) – 24cm tall – $19.25

Or you can get all 3 with 10% off here.

White Ceramic Wee Willie Winky

And just in case that wasn’t enough loveliness, we also recently found a new white ceramic Wee Willie Winkie (to complement out brass and copper Wee Willie Winkies).

New Taper Packaging and new Box of 4 x 30cm Beeswax Dinner Taper candles

If you’ve followed Queen B for a while, you may have noticed that we’ve been progressively rolling out new packaging.  I can’t bear waste, so we’ve been updating the packaging as and when we run out of the old.  The newest packaging to be done is our Dinner Candle / Taper packaging.

Our 20cm Beeswax Dinner Taper Candles now come in a box of 4 (RRP $24.95)

We know from experience you’re a talented bunch so we thought we’d try to harness some of that photographic talent.  To be honest, we’re also stretched thin and we really just need help 🙂

If you’ve ever ordered from us online, you would have received a copy of our educational information cards.  Well they’re about to run out so we’re going to do an overhaul.  In particular, this time I would like to do one which shows some of the imaginative ways of using Bee Lights.  I often speak to customers who don’t use them because they don’t know what to burn them in… and that’s a crying shame as I think they’re one of the most beautiful things we make.

So, they say that a picture speaks a thousand words!  Let’s show them the million things you can use as a Bee Light candleholder.

Any photographs chosen to go on our new printed info cards will receive a $200 gift voucher to buy any candles they want from Queen B online.  Grab your iPhone or your camera, fire up your Bee Lights and your imagination and send through your results!

Entries open: NOW!

Entries close: 11th August (that’s 2 weeks away)

Entries via: either post them on our Facebook page or post on Instagram and tag @queenbcandles

Stuff to know: By entering you expressly give us permission to use your image in social media and online (that’s pretty obvious given you would have posted it online!) and we undertake that anywhere that we use the image we will credit you as the photographer (unless you say you don’t want us to)!  For the images used on the printed info cards we will most likely not credit photographers as it can make things look cluttered and messy given the images will be quite small. Here are a few of the idea I had when I first photographed them (you’ll see why I need help with the photography)!

One of the most oft asked questions at the Hive is what holder to use for the Bee Lights… and as they are one of my all time favourite candles I thought them worthy of all all time favourite candle holder.

We started with the Mini-Marilyn candle holders which I blogged about here.

Now… drum roll… I am delighted to announce the launch of our Reversible Beehive Candle Holders.  Available in both brass and nickel-plated you can use this holder for Bee Lights on one side or Tapers on the other.  Clever or what?!  Good one Scotty (clever metal worker).  Yes, these are made in Australia.  Extraordinary at these prices, I know.  Particularly when you pick one up and feel how heavy they are… yes, you get that with a quality, solid, hand-made in Australia product.  Just ask all the people who wanted Bluescope Steel and have had to settle for something inferior.

Available in brass

or nickel-plated
