For the past several weeks I’ve been working flat out on a new website. It is designed to make it easier to browse our range, to make it more interactive and dynamic, and most importantly to allow some of the amazing feedback that we get to be shared.
Because the new website is being built on an entirely new platform, I have had to load every product we sell again (I was a little blown away to discover there are over 260 products for sale on our website) and because of the new search mechanism I’ve had to weigh, measure, photograph and do new product descriptions for every single one. Both Adam (wonderful techy guy) and I are very sleep deprived!
Anyway, the goal is to have the new system go live in the next couple of weeks. To do this, we’ll be needing some testers who can go through the website and look for typo’s, find any pages that aren’t working and place dummy orders to test the ordering process. Ideally I would like about 10 people. You will be rewarded with our heartfelt thanks (& one of our beautiful beeswax candles of our choice)!
If you are interested, please send am email to queenb[at]queenb.com.au within the next 72 hours. [NB email address is written that way to prevent robots picking it up and sending me more spam than we already get]
Queen B beeswax candles are made with 100% pure Australian beeswax a pure cotton wick and copious amounts of hand made love. We stock beautiful and stylish candle holders, personalised candles, votive candles and pillar candles that nourish the human spirit and our environment.
Hi Cate,
I’d be happy to be a tester for you! I’m a graphic designer and have created websites before so have been through the testing process. I’m good at spotting typos, things that don’t look quite right etc. (I think it must be the perfectionist in me 😉
Cheers,
Maryjane
Hey MJ,
Thank you so much… you sound perfect for the role.
Please pop me an email to queenb[at]queenb.com.au with your details and we can take it from there.
Cheers
Cate
Bonjour Cate,
Yes it is I the Pottery Adam and I would like to volunteer for this noblest of duties in trying to crash your website…I mean test your website.
I have just finished coordinating the construction of the website for my new business and am working on SEO and many other geeky weby things at the moment.
I have had a look at the site and it is looking awesome…so I would love to be able to share more of the adventure!
Like MJ I am good at typos but I am also good at finding functional things that aren’t working quite as they should.
Please let me know if I can be of any assistance, it would be an honour.

I am happy to be a tester of your new system and give it a go. I would be interested to see your new website in the making, but also would be able to detect typos and spelling mistakes etc. – good speller and accurate typist, also artistic and creative.
